Desk review

A desk review is a checklist that I am using to make sure my questionnaire has

• questions that are easy to understand 
•  non-biased questions 
• relevant questions to meet the purpose identified by the people who asked me to take the survey

Desk review is what I am completing for myself before I send it out for people to fill it out.

The question about the person filling out the surveys ethnicity needed another box added which says 'other'

19th june - draft survey

Today I began my draft of my survey I started off by getting to know the person taking the survey and asking questions such as ethnicity, age, gender, etc. These questions were closed multi-choice. Next, I began asking how satisfied they were with the use of the website questions such as how helpful, where you found it, and what you came for. Some of these were done on a Likert scale. Structure and design of my survey

I have taken the main points from the statistics Nz website regarding the methodology for designing a survey and made them into a graphic that is easy to understand. I will use this to identify the main points and consider them when designing the questions. Their document is linked below.

AS91263 Questionnaire Design Purpose

The owners of the Greymouth seaside top 10-holiday park have asked me to design a Questionaire that would enable them to find out information to help make the customers experience as pleasant as possible. They are a business and plan to use this for marketing and planning purposes. They are also looking to adapt the website to make it more user friendly and nice to look at. People would visit this website, to book accommodation, book activities, or buy a membership. They also want to know who visits their website and where they've come from.

Descriptive Writing

The light flickered green and I swung all my weight into the dark tube,
as I went round around the first corner I felt my chip filled stomach shift
and the pace picked up. I could hear my cousin screaming “ im coming”
and the sound of their lanky body splashing in the choppy water, echoed
down the never ending tunnel. My heart beat increased, as I was hurreled
left and right like i was aboard a rocky ship. I finally reached the end and
was greeted by a huge pool of gushing water. The waves were warm but for
some reason my body still got a shock when hugged by them. My eyes were
beginning to sting like I had splashed sprite in them. I leaped out of the
gushing water and felt my dripping body instantly start to shiver.

What are statistics - the practice or science of collecting and analysing numerical data in large quantities, especially for the purpose of inferring proportions in a whole from those in a representative sample.

Term reflection

Term 2 has gone good for me mostly. Last week we had exams and I think I did my best on all them. I have enjoyed English and design technology the most and science the least. In a sports perspective its been great my basketball team is undeafeted and netball is going well with us only losing 2 games so far. I think at times during the term I was distracted and could of been more focused. I could of done more in fashion fabrics.
